A Comment/Review on ellaenchanting’s “Creative Writing”
It’s Sunday again so time for one more review. Today, I decided to peruse the female dominant stories posted at Read Only Mind so far and discovered one with a title that speaks to me so I decided to go for it. As the post title says, the piece in question is ellaenchanting’s Creative Writing. Synopsis below:
Audrey owes Nia a story. Why can’t she write it?
Every writer has had to deal with writer’s block at one moment or another. I’m no exception. While feeling like you don’t have any ideas to keep going is quite messy what I hate the most is when the ideas are actually there but you don’t feel like writing any of them or things simply don’t come out the way you want them to. It’s incredibly frustrating because creative people thrive on creativity and not being able to put it to good use can lead to feelings of inadequacy or even “impostor syndrome”. Again, I know exactly what that is like.
Anyway, onto the story. Audrey is suffering from such a malaise and things are getting out of hand. Her friend and play partner tries to help her find motivation by suggesting an erotic sexy piece but she can’t do it. All she sees is the blank page of her word processor and nothing else. Luckily, Nia is always available for Skype calls and…
What follows is a series of small moments where Audrey suddenly gets bombarded with inspiration to write all sorts of sexy pieces while at the same feeling an increasingly need to cum but not being able to. Erotic dreams galore condition her thoughts and eventually the ideas fizzle out, but not the need to surrender, to be obedient for Nia, to rub herself and beg for a sweet release that will never come. It’s quite the ride, punctuated by hypnotic amnesia that leads to a cycle of frustration. By the end of the tale, there’s still no resolution in sight but Nia continues to be available to help her out…
I had a lot of fun going through this one. While it’s obvious from the get-go how things are going to play out, Aubrey’s perception of writer’s block and her feelings of explosive creativity after conversing with Nia are things I can definitely relate to, and while I prefer female dominant and male sub dynamics overall, the fact that both characters are female didn’t detract from my enjoyment of the piece at all. The story never overstays its welcome, and you can tell the Domme is mischievous yet caring thus creating a very harmonic flow to it. It’s all very good. The fact that ellaenchanting is a hypnotist and not just an author, adds a different flavor to it all.
I recommend you check this one out if you like stories about writing and naughty but consensual kink that hit all the right spots. What are you waiting for to check it out?
Thank you for reading.
I was curious why this story suddenly got a bunch of hits and I’m so glad I investigated and found your site! Thank you so much for the kind review- seeing a long detailed review of my fic is like getting cupcakes. 🙂 I’m also really excited to read your other reviews and find new things to check out!
You’re welcome. My pleasure. Thank you for stopping by and I hope you have fun.
