The Kneeling Man
All the tourists were in awe.
“The Kneeling Man is, of course, Rodin’s greatest work,” the tour guide, but did you know he almost considered doing a piece of a man lost in meditation instead?”
“How curious,” a young man noted. “I wonder why he changed his mind.”
“He stopped thinking,” the time-travelling hypnotist smirked.
Everyone knows Rodin’s The Thinker. It’s that famous. There are numerous variations of it, but the more famous ones are the bronze castings like the one below.
I’m sure pretty much everyone has wondered what exactly the figure depicted is supposed to be thinking about. Perhaps it’s something as profound as the meaning of life – The Thinker is usually used as a metaphor for Philosophy – or something as silly as “why haven’t I been able to poop all day?”. For someone who’s into Femdom and Mind Control as a whole, my idea is: he’s thinking of the best way to serve his Mistress and make her proud of him.
Since there’s nothing sacred when it comes to History for my time-hopping hypnodomme, The Thinker had to go. Think less and obey more.
Hope Springs Eternal
The tranquil waters shimmered as she entered them.
“Hope, what are you doing?” Her husband shouted, in shock.
“Becoming, what else?” she replied, never looking back.
As the mystical energies flowed through her veins, she understood why the Ancients called that place The Goddess Spring and rejoiced.
The world of men was about to fall.
By now you know I love to twist everything that comes my way and this time around was the expression “hope springs eternal”. Yes, I know it has nothing to do with actual water springs but now it does, courtesy of my wacky mind.
A lot of folks would love to find the Fountain of Youth but wouldn’t a spring that turned women into Goddesses (even though some of them already are?) wouldn’t be better? I think so and, if you beg to differ, Hope will make you change your mind in no time.
A Thousand Plans
In no particular order, Lucas wanted to:
– fix the garage door;
– take Rumba lessons:
– get a new job;
– buy a barbecue:
– finish his novel;
– sail the seven seas:
Then he met Sara, looked deep into her eyes and…
… now all he wants is to be her servant and obey her every command.
Life is wonderful.
It’s easy to dream, it’s easy to have plans, it’s easy to want to do a million things and then end up doing nothing at all. Focus is needed. Find that one thing you can’t live without and then everything falls into place.
Serving a woman can be such a thing, mind control or not but it does help spice things a bit, don’t you think?
The Man Absurd
Nate unwrapped his present and read:
“The Man Absurd? What is this?”
“A novel built on NLP that turns males into mindless servants to women,” Tara replied.
He chuckled. “You just made that up… right? “
“Why would I if I wrote it? Enjoy being my first test subject.”
He did. More than he’ll ever remember.
Okay, bear with me as I tell a weird story. Around two/three years ago before this site came to be, I used to play a little something called Gems of War quite regularly. The game is a match-three fantasy card puzzler with all sorts of strange creatures, outlandish scenarios, etc. The colored gems you match on the playing board are used to build mana (i.e. magic) to cast spells (buffs, debuffs, fire, poison, things like that) to attack other cards and defeat them in battle. Sometimes, piece cascades bring about a Mana Surge which basically means you get more mana on that turn that you’re supposed to in regular play. Those extra units of mana can turn the tide of matches real quickly when they happen.
What does this have to do with the piece above, you ask? Well, the first time I heard the game’s narrator announce the effect taking place, I heard Man Absurd instead of Mana Surge. It seems comical but it’s true, most likely because of the sound effects added to the voice and whatnot. Either that or I was partially deaf at the time. 😆
While I don’t play the game any more, I still remember Man Absurd from time to time because I think it’s funny and yes, today was one of those days I did remember it. As a writer, I thought it would be a nice title for a book and thus I devised this little snippet based on it. Funny how word associations and memories go, right?
It’s absurd to think you can resist women so don’t. Remember to obey them and until tomorrow.
