“Honey, are you awake?” Allison asked.
“I am now,” Judy grumbled. “What’s wrong?”
“I was thinking of hypnotizing you again…”
“In other words, you woke me up to put me to sleep. How ironic!”
“I suppose… Is that so bad?”
“Hmm, honestly, I’d rather be dreaming than having this conversation.”
“What if you’re already dreaming?”
“Huh?”
“Maybe you’re already entranced, and this moment is a part of the fantasy I’m weaving for you.”
“You’re just saying that to confuse me and put me under more easily, but you know what would really be unexpected?”
“What?”
“If you were the one being hypnotized instead.”
“Yes, you’re probably ri…”
Judy snapped her fingers, and Allison didn’t bother her again for the rest of the night.
