As Always
There was nothing left for Thomas to see or feel. He was completely hollow.
“Process complete,” Ann declared. “The subject is ready.”
“Activate Conveyor Belt 3 and initiate the transformation,” Dr. Wilson commanded.
“Black finishing as always?”
“That’s what the clients like, so yeah.”
“Affirmative.”
Another day, another drone in the making. Individuality is overrated.
How this story came to be
Spent most of the day feeling somewhat empty and tired, no doubt a consequence of the lingering virus in me. While I did manage to get some work done, there were times in the day when I didn’t feel quite human but something hollow. I suppose that’s why I wrote a dehumanizing piece today. I need to get some sleep.
