Trivial
“Why is this game called Trivial Pursuit again?” Alan asked.
“Because pursuing knowledge is a rather trivial affair? Diana replied.
“That can’t be it,”
“But it is, my dear. Hypnosis is trivial, too.”
“Here we go…”
“Have you noticed how each plastic wedge is like a piece of your mind?”
They never finished the game.
Many years ago, before I even entered adolescence, Trivial Pursuit was my jam. I really loved it and I was quite good at it. I played it at a friend’s house regularly. I wanted one for myself but it was quite expensive and we couldn’t afford the luxury. Eventually, my wish was granted on a Christmas’ Eve and the funny thing is that the board had been hidden under my bed for the last three months without me ever knowing it.
I still own that board game. The questions are outdated, the box has seen better days but it’s still around although it’s been a while since I played it. Anyway, looking at it today made me want to write something revolving it and, truth be told, I said I would probably do it a few months ago when I wrote Don’t Picture This. For continuity’s sake, it stars the same characters and Diana continues to win. Then again, you wouldn’t have it any other way, would you?
Not Strange at All
“Who dares trespass this Sanctum? Don’t you know I’m The Sorcerer Supreme?” Dr Strange levitated by the door.
“Hi,” the golden-haired woman said. “I’m a Femdom Hypnotist and I’ve come to show you some real magic.”
Deft fingers mirrored his movements, riveting words filled his soul. A kneeling man is always a marvel to see.
I’m still catching up on the MCU but, today, I added another film to the list. Yes, I finally saw Doctor Strange and it was actually quite enjoyable. I did find the villains to be a bit forgettable overall but those mind-bending special effects sequences were top notch. The mystic arts never looked so good on screen.
It’s been less than an hour since the movie ended so there’s still some imagery of it swirling around my brain as you might expect. Naturally, I decided to channel it into one of these seeing I had yet to write my daily piece and incorporated as many references as I could as I usually do. Yes, the last line is a pun but that’s also customary and as for the title it refers to the fact that deferring to enthralling women is as natural as it gets. That’s why they’re enthralling to begin with, right?
I hope you had fun with this little bit of comics brought to life in a fetish way. Not sure when I’ll get to see the missing movies in the MCU – there’s still quite a few! – but, when I do, chances are you’ll see them pop up around here in one way or another.
Played to Perfection
“Just another attempt,” Alan said, smartphone in hand.
Vanessa’s new app was a simple match-three puzzler. It was also addictive. He particularly loved the use of color. She loved the flashing spirals and subliminals in-between each level.
“Time to lick, my pet,” she commanded, feet dangling before his eyes.
Played to perfection, he happily complied.
So… my mother likes match-three puzzlers a lot. She plays quite a few on Facebook. She plays them on her smartphone, too. She’s not addicted to them but likes to use them to unwind.
I enjoy them to some extent as well. They’re simple, shallow distractions, but it’s true a person can get engrossed by them precisely because of their bite-sized nature. A level lasts two-three minutes and seeing that’s almost next to nothing in our perception of Time, we go for another round, then another, and yet another. Next thing we know, an hour has elapsed and we didn’t even realize it.
Trance states can be like that, too. Time plays differently when our consciousness is altered. Can a person go into trance playing a game? I think it’s quite possible and using hypnosis in games has been a part of my creative output for quite some time so…
Do you want to download Vanessa’s app right now?
Who Ya Gonna Call?
“Alexandra?”
“Yes, General?”
“Do you believe in ghosts?”
“No. Why do you ask?”
“My office is haunted.”
“Oh?”
“Whenever I blink, the contents of my desk get rearranged. Watch.”
She did. The General moved robotically, unaware of himself. He blinked again.
“Did you see that?”
“Nope,” she lied. “Who ya gonna call?”
A hypnotist, obviously.
I almost saw the female-led version of Ghostbusters, yesterday. Almost because I regretted it at the last second and went to bed, instead. I was tired and needed to rest but ended up dreaming with ghosts. My dream was basically a memory with a different “clothing”. Let me tell you all about that.
When I was a kid, I saw a chair move on its own. It moved across the room just like that. I remember it clear as day and I can’t think of any possible explanation for the phenomenon except ghosts. In good honesty, I don’t believe they’re real and yet… I don’t know if this event was the catalyst for my love of horror stories as well but the chair did move.
Because I was reminded of that, I decided to play with hypnotic hauntings and who better than Alexandra to lead the way? Poor General, he doesn’t remember what he does when she triggers him. Perhaps one day he will. I hope you liked this one.
