Angela sat at her desk every day for nine hours to get some writing done. She never remembered typing anything but the number of pages kept growing,
“How is that possible?” Erin, Angela’s best friend, asked.
“My girlfriend designed a hypnotic background image. I’m entranced the moment I turn on my laptop.”
Time to write
How this story came to be
When you’re in the zone, sometimes this happens. You write and write without realizing how much time has elapsed. I had lots of days like that when I was younger but now, not so much. My writing sessions have more pauses, and my ability to focus for long periods of time is no longer the same. Different times, different routines. As long as the work gets done, it doesn’t matter if I write five thousand words in a day or in a week.
Still, I imagine that something like this could be fun. I’m pretty sure I’ve written some things while in trance in the past, but I have no real recollection of that. A permanent trigger like the one described in the tale could be fun. I guess that’s why I wrote this.
