Bonus Story – A Perfect Whisper

Bonus Stories are special features posted at the end of each month (depending on total pledges) and available to all patrons from the get-go. As voted by my patrons, this month’s Bonus Story sees the return of a fan-favorite character. Here’s the synopsis.

After receiving some traumatic news, Dr. Vanessa Madsen bonds with a beautiful singer at a bar and teaches her bully of a boss a mesmerizing and humiliating lesson.

The therapist/hypnotist had seen better days. Her youthful and vibrant appearance had been replaced with a haggard, weary expression. Deep lines etched her face, revealing the toll of the darkness hounding her.
Vanessa had recently learned the heartbreaking news that one of her first pets – Walter – had been involved in a tragic motorcycle accident, leaving him comatose and paralyzed from the waist down. The weight of this knowledge crushed her soul, leaving her feeling numb and devastated. Try as she may, she couldn’t shake off the image of her beloved pet lying motionless, hooked up to machines and fighting for his life. Each time she thought about it, an ache formed in her chest, making it difficult to breathe.
The injustice of what had happened to him was impossible to rationalize and comprehend. She had dealt with many obnoxious men and women in the past, but Walter was anything but. He deserved the world and more, not a vegetable-like existence in a cold hospital room. The doctors weren’t sure if he was going to make it and so she drank in his honor, remembering all the good times he had opened his mind to her kinky delights. If he died, a part of her would die with him.
As she drifted in this wave of melancholia teetering closer and closer to the edge of ennui, Vanessa found herself drawn to the silver-haired singer, captivated by the raw emotion in her voice and the fierce passion in her green eyes. There was a story there, she was sure of it – a tale of love and loss, of triumph and tragedy. As the night wore on and the music filled her soul, Vanessa felt a sense of kinship with the mysterious singer, as if their fates were intertwined in ways she couldn’t yet grasp.
