Bonus Story – Visit Blue River

Bonus Stories are special features posted at the end of each month (depending on total pledges) and available to all patrons from the get-go. Bonus Stories are exclusive to my Patreon for the time being. While I may decide to release them publically in the future, as I do with the regular Saturday Stories, for now, this is how things go.

This month’s piece is entitled Visit Blue River. A virus that turns women into dominant vixens is unleashed in a small American town. This story is written in the first person and has a really eerie vibe to it.

Sometimes, life gives us the bitterest presents and there’s nothing you can do about it. My name is Madison Wilkins, I’m a reporter for the Daily News, and this is most likely the last story I’ll ever write before I become someone else entirely. It is not something I wish to do and yet saving a record of the recent events I was involved with may be the only way to keep my sanity going a while longer. I won’t blame you if you read these words and think they’re nothing but an elaborate piece of fiction because I would probably do the same if I were in your shoes. However, I know the truth and it is growing in me like cancer. If you wish to learn it, tread carefully but never doubt. You can be in danger too.

If you’ve ever read my paper, then you know the types of stories we write. For many years, I was blessed with the opportunity to choose my own research and do whatever I wanted with it, but there were exceptions. Sometimes I was chosen for a specific role but there were also times when they chose me. This was one of them.

The strange assignment arrived in a plain white envelope left in my mailbox, with nothing to show who had left it there and why. Inside the envelope was a single sheet of paper with the words “Won’t you visit Blue River?” written in an almost unreadable scrawl and a photograph of a quaint little town somewhere in Arkansas.
