It was one of the most boring movies Jay had ever seen: three hours of static and nothing more.
“I’m running out of patience here!” he grumbled. “When does the show begin?”
“Right about now…” Katherine snapped her fingers. “Stroke for me.”
Mind filled with irresistible subliminal messages, he dropped to his knees and smiled.
How this story came to be
When was the last time you watched a movie that you thought was boring through and through? I honestly don’t remember. Then again, I also don’t watch as many movies nowadays like I used to.
This was just a random idea that came to me after turning on the TV after dinner and being greeted by static before the cable signal went through. I started thinking “What if there were messages hidden in the static? What would they say?” I suppose I could have built any number of scenarios but I went with the first and that was it.
