Brandon looked in the mirror and saw a woman’s face staring back at him.
“What? Is this me?” he muttered.
“It’s always been you,” his sister whispered in his ear. “Your name is Brenda. You’ve always been Brenda. Say it now and surrender.”
“I’m Brenda…” his eyes went blank.
“Perfect!” she smiled. “Let’s go shopping.”
How this story came to be
One more impromptu for the count. After yesterday’s physical and mentally taxing day, I took some time to myself today. I went grocery shopping, played a bit of the new Zelda game, and took a power nap with my pets early afternoon. It was nice.
