A Comment/Review on Modren’s “Agreed”
Another first timer at the EMCSA is the subject of today’s commentary. In the next few paragraphs, I’ll be looking at Modren’s Agreed. The synopsis goes as follows:
Kyle reconnects with an old college friend, and winds up rekindling their… unusual relationship.
I’m a fan of these types of stories where an old relationship was somewhat influenced by hypnosis and mind control and this one is no exception. The female main character – Quinn – is a devious little minx and the main protagonist – Kyle – an easy subject to twist around her finger.
While I’m usually more inclined for some sort of resistance play, there isn’t any of that in this one. Instead, what we have is a deeply embedded trigger from days gone that’s put to good use in putting him back under her control. As you might have surmised already, the trigger is the word that gives this story its title.
It’s customary to say that one of the signs of being hypnotized is agreeing a lot. In this case, given the trigger, it’s quite literal. Kyle agrees, Kyle obeys, Quinn gets everything she wants and everyone is happy in the end.
This is a very short story but quite enjoyable. The mention of hypnotic amnesia somewhere in the middle doesn’t do much for me and I probably could have gone by without the little bit of CEI in the end but everything else is quite sexy. You should definitely check it out.
At the end, Modren expresses the wish to write more stories in the future. I certainly hope that’s the case, too.
Thank you for reading.
