A Comment/Review on Nova’s “How to Be Programmed Into Obeying Intellectual Women”

I feel like I should start by saying I decided to read this one because of the title. “How to Be Programmed Into Obeying Intellectual Women” certainly catches the eye but I’m sure that was the intent. Nova’s piece is certainly a curious one, one I enjoyed on some levels but, sadly, not all of them. Allow me to elaborate.

If you’re planning on reading this one, the first thing you should know is that’s written in an informal style and that it reads like a long hypnotic induction through and through. It’s fairly well written with plenty of evocative imagery but, truth be told, this is probably my least favorite type of storytelling. I don’t have patience for long inductions as they tend to bore me after a while especially if I see them as such. In some of the paragraphs, the dividing line between a simple fictional account and what appears to be a genuine hypnotic scripy become blurred and I wasn’t very fond of it.

Another thing I didn’t particularly enjoy was the focus on feminization aspects midway through it. I’ve written a few humorous flash fiction pieces where feminization is a thing but it’s not really a kink of mine. The digression towards it as the narrative flows along was distracting to me.

Now, this may seem like a vey negative take on things but I assure you it’s not. There’s plenty to enjoy here especially when it comes to the idea of planting fascination seeds and watching them grow. Some of the ideas evoked mirror some of my own experiences with the fetish world and how some of my fascinations came to be and that’s nice.  A strikingly devious sequence in which our imagination is put to the test comes to mind as quite hot. I mean, take a look at these paragraphs.

I could tell you about the deeper symbolism of glasses. That they signify superior female intellect, knowledge and dominance over your mind. That glasses are a gateway into the beautiful eyes of a woman and that they share and enhance the power of eyes. Or that glasses can serve as a mirror of your submissive soul, because when you gaze deeply into the eyes of a hypnotic woman with glasses, you will not only see into her secret vortex, you will also see your own reflection in her glasses. Your image will hover before her eyes, as you fall deeper and deeper. Now that is admittedly a nice fantasy. Try to imagine it. And much more.

I could tell you that. But I won’t.

I could tell you about the fascination with hidden power. Something you sense and feel, but cannot see. That we sometimes call women with glasses geeks or nerds or bookworms or wallflowers and associate them with terms like plain and harmless. But how does it feel to think about going into a room with a woman while having such misconceptions about her and then later leaving the room with a whole new set of thoughts? Mistress is beautiful. Mistress is kind to me. I obey Mistress. Such an idea must be very intriguing to men. Or how about your conditioning through tv series and even cartoons during childhood? Maybe tv cartoons introduced you first to the idea that the girl with glasses always has the superior mind. That she will always solve the riddles and deeper questions.

I could tell you that. But I won’t.

Like I said, plenty to enjoy but, to me, the whole ensemble doesn’t add up in light of some of the ideas discussed earlier. It was still a fine read but not one I’m inclined to go through again anytime soon. Girls with glasses are still sexy though. Thank you for reading.
