Contingency Plan
Isla stood in front of Tammy’s house.
“What are you doing here?” she asked.
“Odette left me just when things were about to get interesting,” Isla replied.
“Oh, you poor thing! Do you need a shoulder to cry on?”
“No. You’re my contingency plan. I want a new slave.”
A pendant swung before Tammy’s eyes.
How this story came to be
Believe it or not, I really wanted to write something entitled Contingency Plan. I’ve always liked the way that combination of words sounds and it’s fun to work with things I like that. I wasn’t exactly sure what story to write but when this idea came to me, I knew it was the one. Would you agree with this?
