The Detective was reborn as a vampire forever in her service. He now works as a security guard at Club Mephisto.

He woke up in bed next to the woman from the beginning of the story who we discover is his girlfriend/hypnotist. Everything that happened was just an elaborate mental fantasy.

The Detective was reborn as a vampire but was allowed to go back to his old job for now he can’t expose them without exposing himself.
