Does it Hurt?
“Does it still hurt?” Jenna asked as she rubbed Liam’s ankle.
“Yes,” he mumbled.
“How about now?” she asked, swinging a pocket watch.
“Yes. You can’t hypnotize me to forget the pain, dear.”
“Are you sure?”
Liam followed the entrancing motions, everything fading from his mind.
The bones are still broken but he doesn’t care.
How this story came to be
Today was rough. The weather has been pretty unforgiving around here in the last couple of days with lots of rain and heavy mind. Today, because of it, I sprained my left ankle. It happened as I was exiting the bus outside work. I slipped and hurt myself. It’s still a bit swollen but I don’t think it requires medical care. Still, it’s something I could have easily lived without.
The weather has also made my internet connection spotty which delayed some of the things I had in mind for today. Hopefully, tomorrow will be better.
