Derrick scratched his beard. The game on Jessica’s tablet was a strange combination of Picross and Minesweeper. All he needed to do was place spirals next to cute little pixel men with the aid of a numerical grid. It was supposed to be easy but… but…
He stared blankly at the screen, his mind fried.
How this story came to be
Do you remember Minesweeper? I used to be pretty good at it back in the day, beating Expert levels without batting an eye. It’s been ages since I played it and my mind isn’t as sharp as it used to be, so I doubt I could still pull the same tricks. I do well enough on Picross though.
Anyway, just a little weird idea that came to me. I imagine the game like this: every time he placed a spiral on the screen, he went a little deeper until his mind went blank. Would you play such a game?
