A Lot Easier
It was a surprising night for the supernatural residents of the largest city on German soil. For the first time in the last hundred years, the leaders of all the clans had called for a special meeting that was taking place inside a closed five-star hotel. Everyone was there. There were vampires, werewolves, mermaids, ghouls, wraiths, and countless other species that were usually at each other’s throats fighting for supremacy but had set aside their petty rivalries for the greater good.
The meeting had been organized at the request of Dr. Alyssa Schmidt. She was a prestigious scientist in the normal world and a gorgon in the underworld. How she had convinced everyone to listen to her plea was anyone’s guess but their curiosity was soon to be satisfied.
Dr. Schmidt took the stand, holding a microphone in her right hand. She was a beautiful Bavarian standing six feet four in heels with magnetic blue eyes and an intoxicating smile. Her curly black hair was long, falling way past her neck. Everything about her body language screamed excitement.

Courtney’s Games
Dylan was in trouble. After already losing his car and his clothes to Courtney over a few rounds of poker, his apartment was now on the line, and all because he couldn’t keep his mouth shut when he was supposed to.
“Are you playing or not?” she asked, crossing her tanned legs under the table.
“One moment, I’m thinking,” he replied, eyes darting between the cards he was holding and the inviting deck in front of her.
“You’re wasting too much time and I’m getting bored,” she yawned.
“Hey, don’t we have all night?”
“No, we don’t.”
“What?”
“You have one minute to reach a decision. If you don’t play, I’m out of here.”
“Hey, that’s not fair! You can’t change the rules of the game like that.”

New You
Hello and welcome to what is arguably the most important day of your life. I’m so happy you finally decided to live the life you were meant to live and it is an honor for me to be your guide in this decisive moment. Before we begin the process, I would like you to look at the camera to your right and state you’re choosing this of your own volition. If you have any doubts about whether this is the right path for you, state them now because once things get underway, they’re both unstoppable and irreversible. Do you want this to happen or not?
Good. While I knew that would be your answer, having it documented makes things easier in the long run. There are many people that don’t understand what we do here and gave us a lot of grievances because of it. Luckily, you’re an enlightened soul that understands the importance of our mission, and, for that, I’m grateful. Now that we’ve established content once more, I’m going to ask you to take a seat and wait there for a bit. We’re getting the final preparations ready as we speak. It shouldn’t take long to… ah, what did I say? Please look behind you.
Do you like it? Your new body has been designed according to your wildest fantasies.

Security System
Danielle Winters, a.k.a. NightFox, was considered to be one of the best car burglars in the business. In a little over five years on the job, she had amassed more successful heists than any of her peers without ever risking getting caught. She was the one to hire whenever the target to acquire was considered extremely difficult if not downright impossible. She wasn’t cheap but her results were undeniable and worth every penny.
Her latest assignment involved breaking into the underground vault of notoriously secretive art collector Valeria Khominski and retrieving an obscure painting by Sofonisba Anguissola, regarded by art historians as the first major female artist of the Renaissance. Communications had been made through a private email server and the buyer had offered her double her usual fee on the spot, no questions asked. Those were the kind of transactions Danielle enjoyed the most and so she accepted the offer with a smile on her crimson lips.
