Nothing Changes
Monday
Patricia got up with the alarm clock at 7 am. She took a warm shower, fixed a hearty breakfast, and then put on her uniform before leaving the house to catch a packed subway downtown. She arrived at the supermarket fifteen minutes before her shift started to make sure everything was in order. On her way there, the composition passed through five different tunnels, each one longer than the one that came before, clocking approximately three and a half minutes underground. She hated the darkness but had to endure it. Her work day was long, exhausting, and more trouble than it was worth. It was always the same thing. Nothing ever changed.

Second Chance
Amanda was everything Harold could ever hope for in a woman. She was tall, busty, had a wonderful sense of humor that allowed her to never take herself seriously, and never nagged him when he wanted to have a drink with his friends. There was only one problem: she was dead.
“How are you here?” he gasped as she sat in his living room, her legs crossed. Her skin was gray from being buried six feet under for almost two months and there was a hole in her forehead in the place where the metal pole had claimed her life in a tragic motorcycle accident. It was an impossible nauseating thing to behold and he was absolutely bewildered.
“That’s a good question,” she replied with her lovely honeyed voice. If it weren’t for the physical signs of decay, no one would believe that her lungs had been filled with dirt and bugs not so long ago. “I have no idea. What did you do?”
“What do you mean? I didn’t do a thing!”
“Are you sure?”

Unpredictable
When she was six years old, Meredith wanted to be a Princess and live in a gorgeous pink castle with a stable of unicorns, each one sporting the colors of the rainbow.
By the age of ten, she had left those fantasies and claimed she wanted to follow in the footsteps of her father in the world of sports. Becoming a famous goalkeeper and winning two World Cups wasn’t an absolutely impossible dream but it would take years of dedication and a bit of luck to get anywhere near making it come true, and most children are fickle.
After the turned fifteen, she told her friends and family she was going to study to become a doctor and travel around the globe helping people in need. The nobility of her words convinced only a handful of people but the others knew better. She would find something else to dream about soon.
On the day of her twenty-first anniversary, she became a hypnodomme.

Waiting For Him
(…)
Ben looked at his wristwatch and then at his group of friends who were all absorbed in the basketball game. He said,
“Okay, guys, this has been fun for sure but it’s getting late and I need to go home. Talk to you all soon, okay?”
“Dude! It’s only 9 o’clock!” Martin exclaimed in his characteristic, exuberant voice. “Unless you have a hot chick waiting for you completely naked in your bed, why the hell are you leaving so soon?”
“Well, actually…”
“Wait!” Carl jumped in his seat. “Don’t tell me you do have someone waiting! When did that happen?”
“It’s a recent thing,” Ben muttered. “Can I tell you all about it some other time? I really need to be on my way.”
“No!” Walter was adamant. He momentarily turned off the TV, turned to him, and said, “Not until you tell us everything you’ve been keeping from us? Who is this mystery woman, how did you two meet and, most, importantly, does she have a nice ass?”
