Hi there. I’m sorry, but I couldn’t help but notice you sitting here, all alone. You look sad. Is something bothering you? I’m usually quite good at telling what’s going on through people’s heads and I bet I can do that to you. Let’s see.
It’s money, isn’t it? You have money issues but not the kind people complain about. You have a lot of it but also a pressing desire to give it away. You hide that need behind your tailored suits, fancy shoes, expensive watches, but it doesn’t go away because it’s ingrained in you. You have a fetish, a findom fetish.
Struck a nerve, didn’t I? I bet you didn’t expect for someone to just come up to you and hit you with the truth. I told you I was good. I’m Jade, by the way. My parents called me that the moment they saw how green my eyes are. I would very much like to help you deal with that fetish if you’ll allow me. How? Look into my eyes and listen to me, and I’ll tell you.(…)
Old Life
It was the thing Adam never expected to hear, and coming from Judy, from all people! Their relationship was perfect from the start, and he felt like he had finally met his soulmate, so why was she suddenly saying,
“I think we need to see other people.”
The words hung in the air like a thick fog, heavy and suffocating. Adam’s heart raced, a wild drumbeat echoing in his ears. He looked into Judy’s eyes, once bright with laughter and love, now clouded with something he couldn’t quite decipher. Her usually vibrant aura seemed dimmed, as if she were standing under the oppressive weight of unspoken truths.
“Why?” he whispered, the word slipping from his lips like a fragile bird taking flight. “Isn’t what we have enough?” The question felt inadequate, floundering in the sea of uncertainty that surrounded them. He searched her face for any hint of a smile, some glimmer of reassurance, but found nothing but seriousness etched deeply into her features.
Judy sighed, running her fingers through her unruly curls, a gesture Adam had always found endearing. “It’s not about you. It’s never been about you,” she began slowly, as if carefully crafting each word with precision. “It’s… it’s about me needing to explore parts of myself that I feel are missing.”(…)
Something Deeper
Daniella arrived home past 11 pm, her feet hurting from the double shift at the hospital. As she opened the front door and peered into the dimly lit hallway up ahead, the sweet aroma of lavender wafting from a handful of flickering candles reached her nostrils. Their soft glow illuminated the walls adorned with photographs, each one capturing moments of laughter and joy. Daniella stood at the threshold, her heart quickening as she took in the scene before her.
Her boyfriend, Marcus, was meticulously arranging a path of rose petals that led from the front door to the living room. The petals, vibrant and red, contrasted beautifully against the polished wooden floor. A faint smile crept across Daniella’s lips as she noticed her favorite playlist softly playing in the background – a collection of songs she could only describe as their soundtrack to love.
“Welcome home, dear,” he breathed out, glancing up at her with eyes filled with warmth and mischief. His tousled hair fell into his forehead, framing an oval face that radiated both charm and sincerity.
Daniella stepped inside, her workday’s fatigue momentarily forgotten as curiosity bubbled within her. “What’s all this?” she asked playfully, crossing her arms over her scrubs.(…)
Visitor
The city lights glimmered below as the extraterrestrial being floated towards Earth in search of its next host. It had been traveling through the galaxy for centuries, jumping from one body to another, absorbing their memories and experiences before moving on. But this time, it sensed something different on this small blue planet.
As it descended through the Earth’s atmosphere, the being could feel a pulse of energy emanating from a particular location. Curiosity and instinct drove it towards the source, and it found itself hovering outside a lavish penthouse in the heart of the city.
Inside, the occupant of the penthouse was indulging in her nightly ritual. She sat on a throne-like chair, her long legs crossed and clad in black leather. Her silver-streaked hair cascaded down her back, and her piercing blue eyes were fixed on the kneeling figure in front of her.
The being observed the scene with fascination. It had encountered many different forms of life in its travels, but none quite like this dominant human female. It could sense the power emanating from her, and it was drawn to it like a moth to a flame.
The being could enter a host’s body, take control of it, and use its memories and abilities to its advantage. It had done this countless times before, but never with a creature as powerful as this one in front of it.(…)
