Angela’s pets looked awkwardly at her newest acquisition. Then, the frantic butt-sniffing began.
“They’re just curious about you,” she said. “Go on, my dear, don’t be afraid.”
Max flinched at first but soon got used to it. They were friendly. Everything was great.
Towering over them, Angela smiled. Her collection of hypno-puppies continued to grow.
How this story came to be
As you know by now, my furry family used to comprise two dogs, a male and a female but, eight months ago, a cat joined the fray. Having them socialize with one another took a while but now they’re good friends for the most part. This piece came to me shortly after dinner when I saw my youngest dog and the cat sleeping side by side on the sofa.
