The date was going amazingly well until Judith asked,
“Are you a religious person?”
“Not really,” Devon replied. “I don’t believe in gods. Do you?”
“I believe in goddesses because I’m one. Meet the real Holy Trinity, dear.”
Her mother and sister joined them at the table, spirals swirling in her eyes. The conversion was immediate.
How this story came to be
I’m not a religious person but I did pray for my dog when she went to the hospital earlier in the week. Sadly, my prayers went nowhere given the outcome but given her state, there was really nothing else I could have done. I wrote this on a whim after spending most of the day trying to get the creative spark working again.
