Jake was barking at the door and William was peeing inside an oversized litter box. Ashton was trying to flap imaginary wings while Richard had developed an obsessive compulsion for cheese.
“You really love your hypnotized pets,” Cindy said.
“I sure do,” Angela replied. “Wait until you meet my chicken.”
Cindy clucked all night long.
How this story came to be
Another impromptu, this one inspired by my pets. Both my dog and my cat were lounging on my desk as I sat at the desk thinking of what to write when my dog suddenly started barking at nothing and the cat jumped to go to the bathroom. It was the trigger I needed to get this piece going, I guess. Which animal are you?
