I Don’t Get It
Everyone laughed at Angie’s joke, except Jonas.
“I don’t get it,” he said.
“The man was hypnotized…” she rolled her eyes. “He was hypnotized and didn’t know it.”
“That’s absurd.”
“If you say so… Get me another drink, please.”
“Okay.”
He headed to the kitchen unaware that he was naked, clothespins hanging from his balls.
How this story came to be
How’s your sense of humor? Mine is a bit… weird, just like me. While I’m usually okay with all types of jokes, sometimes I don’t get them or it takes too long for them to register. I don’t like to ask for explanations so I usually end up swelling on the joke until I finally understand what’s going on. It’s not pretty but it is what it is.
Today’s piece started with a reflection about not getting a joke and then ended with Jonas becoming the joke itself. You don’t mind, right?
