Incoming

Alan sighed with relief. After a grueling hour in which everything seemed to be heading for disaster, the countermeasures had worked. Mistress Oblivia’s hypnotic bomb would no longer detonate over Chicago.
“We did it, Mr. President! The crisis has been averted!” he said.
He regretted it immediately when thousands of incoming missiles blocked the sun.

How this story came to be

I’ve told you about my fascination for the concept of a hypnotic bomb before. It doesn’t kill – it only takes over your mind. The New Amazonian Movement uses pheromone bombs, for instance. They emit a gas that makes women dominant, and turn men into submissive toys for them to use. As for Mistress Oblivia here, she wants to take over the world, one explosion after the other.
