“Warning: intrusive thoughts detected. Mindwipe required,” said the feminine voice coming from the bracelet on Devon’s wrist.
“I had one yesterday! This thing must be defective,” he mumbled.
“Warning: more intrusive thoughts detected. Mandatory mindwipe starting now.”
Devon froze as tendrils of electricity ran through his brain, rebooting it.
“Back to work, slave!”
He obeyed.
How this story came to be
Nocturnal impromptu about technology. I wrote it after wrestling with my router for a few minutes because my Internet connection was going haywire on me. Beware of your thoughts and always obey your mechanical overladies.
