Agnes held a piece of paper before Oliver’s drooping eyes. There was a single word written in it, one that she commanded him to…
“Read.”
“I can’t do that,” he muttered.
“Why not?”
“It’s gibberish. It makes no sense.”
“Are you sure?”
“Yes, Mistress.”
“Good boy.”
She tore the paper in two, RESISTANCE gone forever.
How this story came to be
I love words. I love playing with them and creating new things every day but that doesn’t mean words make sense all the time Some don’t, and if you’ve been programmed to serve, then you know exactly what this means. This piece was inspired by those moments when the words we’re used to seem to melt away under a dominant woman’s control.
