Monday Reds
David peered through the living-room window, cold rain splattered all over the glass. The hooded woman had returned, muddy feet trampling his prized roses.
“This ends today,” he muttered. Stepping outside, he was greeted by living darkness and eager teeth.
The vampire smiled. A mindless meal was always the best way to start a week.
It’s Monday and all over the world countless people are cursing their lives for having to go back to work once again. Monday Blues are definitely a thing and many wish they would never have to go through with them as it almost qualifies as an horrifying experience.
Perhaps I’m overreacting or perhaps I’m not. Either way, thinking of horrifying experience led me to the punny title and from there I built the story. It could have been any manner of supernatural creature but vampires and mind control go hand in hand so…
First Day
Ashton looked at his new workplace.
“First day?” Christine smiled.
“Yeah. Anything I should know?”
“Definitely but the most important one is that every Tuesday, men are hypnotized to become more submissive to their female superio… I mean, co-workers. Don’t forget it.”
“Forget what?” He queried, eyes glazed.
“Never mind. You’ll do great around here.”
This piece was partly inspired by real-life affairs as I’m indeed starting a new job, today. I don’t expect it to have any sort of hypnosis going on but who knows for sure? Anyway, my new schedule will force me to make some adjustments in regards to the posts I add around here not in terms of quantity, mind you, but rather the time. I got up earlier for this piece. I’ll do the same in days to come. On off-days, I’ll probably update the site a little later so I can sleep a little more.
Anyway, that’s it. Wish me luck and continue to have fun in any way you can.
Freudian Slip
“Hello, Mr. Freud,” The time-travelling hypnotist said.
“How did you get inside my office?”
“Magic…” she grinned.
“I don’t believe in magic.”
“How about Freudian slips?”
“Is that a sick joke?”
“No. It’s when you say something but actually mean your mother.”
“That’s… pretty clever.”
“I know.” she waved a pendant. “Now, who’s your mommy?”
Another recurring character in these makes her first appearance in the 2019 challenge. The time-travelling hypnotist likes to have fun and making Freud “go crazy” was something that came to me on a whim. I also wanted to use that Freudian slip pun in a story so what better way to do that than to have this devious character pop again?
My Queen
“Good morning, Joe,” Theresa said.
“Good morning, My Queen.”
“Did you sleep well?”
“Yes, My Queen. I dreamed of you. Dreaming of you is always wonderful.”
“I’m glad but Joe… why do you keep referring to me as Your Queen?”
“I never called you anything else, My Queen.”
“Never, huh?”
The brainwashing was going smoothly.
Queen is one of my favorite titles when it comes to dominant women but Princess, Lady, Mistress, etc are also appealing. I wasn’t very fond of Goddess a few years back but I’ve grown into it as well.
Titles are just symbols but symbols are very powerful when it comes to D/s relationships. In the title, the submissive sees a proof of the superiority of the dominant over him/her. For some, it’s just not the same without it.
Some Dommes aren’t that fond of titles. Others use them with pride. When the symbol is established, it can be used to great effect when it comes to conditioning a sub to obey. That’s why many relationships start with “you will always address me as…” The more you repeat something, the more ingrained it becomes so… it’s a simple form of brainwashing, one that leads to a memory shift as well. When you’re properly enthralled, the dominant becomes all you can think of, and yes, you may forget things more easily because of it, and believe only what you’re told to believe in but you already knew that, didn’t you?
