Best-selling Author
“It’s an honor, Miss Lark,” Dean said.
“I know,” she noted.
“Let me start with an obvious question. Ten best-sellers in ten months. Impressive! How are you such a prolific writer?”
“I’m not. My army of brainwashed minions does all the work…”
“Huh?”
“… and I have a vacancy right now.”
He never finished the interview.
Being a creative person can be hard. Writing can be hard. Sometimes, it would be easier to just throw my ideas up in the air and let others develop them for me.
One of the advantages Dommes have is being able to command others, have them obey. Hypnodommes do it in exquisite ways, turning alien ideas into irresistible cravings. Their slaves exist to serve them in any way they choose, why not writing novels for her so she can receive the due credit? It’s a fair deal, believe me.
As for me, I’m not a best-selling author but I did have my best month of sales ever since I started publishing some of my work and a new title came out yesterday.
Implanted
“What is this smudge, Dr. Summers?” George asked.
“An implant on your cerebral cortex.”
“How did it…? What does it do?”
“After careful examination, it seems it’s used to alter your persona at will.”
“Preposterous!”
“Allow me then,” she flicked a switch.
“Mommy, can I go play outside now?” Little Georgie asked.
“Of course, dear.”
Mind-controlling implants are a staple of sci-fi. When you think of alien abductions, you usually think of implants, false memories, and anal probes. As a sci-fi lover, I love the first idea (the others not so much) and wanted to play with it. However, I didn’t want aliens to be involved at all so I used the next best thing I could think of: unethical doctors.
I could have chosen from a wide array of fetishes to show his perception shift. I chose age regression and infantilism because it’s not a topic I use much in my stories at all and variety is always good to keep the challenge fresh. Now go play outside and have fun.
Until tomorrow.
How Brave…
“Alexandra?”
“Yes, General?”
“Did you hypnotize me again in the last hour?”
“Maybe I did, maybe I didn’t…”
“Only one of those is true. Which one?”
“The one you believe the most.”
“I think you did.”
“Why?”
“Because I have a Bronze Star medal sticking out of my ass…”
“How brave of you…” She grinned.
As you know, I’ve been writing another full-length story starring my sexy secret agent/hypnotist on my Patreon feed for a while now. Today, I got some more writing done on the next installment but it still needs more time in the oven to work the way I want it to. Still, thoughts of Alexandra need to be used in some way and so another humorous snippet was born.
If you’re not familiar with The Bronze Star, you should know that it’s a decoration awarded to members of the United States Armed Forces for either heroic achievement, heroic service, meritorious achievement, or meritorious service in a combat zone. General Hayes has been at this for a while and I always envisioned him as a war hero before becoming the leader of a secret espionage organization although that’s never stated in the stories he’s been thus far. I mean no disrespect for the decoration or the actual, living breathing people that received it. I just wanted to make that last pun come to life. Be lucky I didn’t call it The Brown Star given where it was…
A Mind Came Crashing
“What crashed today was a UFO…” the time-travelling hypnotist said.
“Yes, it was a UFO…” the soldier droned.
“On second thought, it was a weather balloon…”
“Now I remember… it was a weather balloon…”
“Scratch that. It was a UFO, there were little green men and…”
“… anal probes,” he drooled.
“Exactly.”
She loved visiting Roswell.
Alexandra yesterday, the time-travelling hypnotist today… it’s almost as if these two are related somehow… Anyhow, I’ve always wondered how certain descriptions about alien abductions came to be. I’ve also always wondered if The Roswell Incident was true or not. Sci-fi lover here, remember?
There have been many theories, many books, many TV shows, many movies, but none of them ever came close to the real deal because my character invented everything from scratch. Perhaps aliens don’t exist at all, but hypnosis does.
