It was the longest movie Damian had never seen. Twelve hours and counting. He looked at Sandra and asked,
“When will this nonsense be over?”
“Soon,” she replied.
“That’s what you’ve been since the two-hour mark!”
“Keep watching. You’ll love the ending.”
Damian grumbled and continued to stare at the disconnected TV, entranced eyes unblinking.
How this story came to be
Do you like long movies? I do. I usually don’t mind watching flicks that go on for three hours or more. There are exceptions of course, but you’re talking to someone who once watched the Extended Editions of The Lord of the Rings movies in one day, so…
Anyway, this perception piece was inspired by the fact that sometimes the way we perceive time is altered while in trance. No one knows for sure how long Damian has been staring at the blank TV, not even me.
