A Findomme’s E-Mail
Reading this first line will cost you four dollars.
Reading this second line will cost you three dollars.
Reading this third line will cost you two dollars.
Reading this fourth line will cost you one dollar.
You now owe me ten dollars, but you can pay with your mind.
Four, three, two, one… zero. Obey!
Financial Domination is not something I’m interested in, but that doesn’t mean I can’t use the fetish in a story. Combine it with a bit of sneaky hypnosis and… if you think she’s not asking for much, think again.
A Lesson
“Where’s your essay, James?” Professor Anderson asked.
“I forgot.”
“I think your dog ate it,” her eyes sparkled.
“Y-yes,” he stammered.
“Your dog is naughty. You’re naughty too, aren’t you?”
“I’m sure I am.”
“You need a lesson. What am I going to teach you, today?”
“I don’t know.”
The correct answer was ‘hypnotic susceptibility.’
I’m sure everyone’s familiar with the famous excuse by now. Have you ever used it? I sure didn’t, but I always thought it was a funny one. Allow me to spin it in one of these. Worry not, everyone’s a consenting adult. James may have forgotten that at some point though.
Loop
“Why are you calling me, Jen? It’s 3 am.”
“You’re the one calling, Sam.”
“Oh… why did I do that?”
“You tell me. Did you check your voicemail just now?”
“No.”
“Are you sure?”
“Positive. Why?”
“It’s nothing. Good night.”
“Good night.”
Intrigued, he checked his voicemail…
… and called her again, and again, and again…
A simple piece about hidden triggers and amnesia. He’s still calling her as I type this so be careful next time you check your messages, okay?
No Limits
“What do you think of this: ‘The world is not limited by IQ. We are all limited by bravery and creativity.’?” Allison queried.
“I think you’ve taught me to be brave and your creativity is infinite,” Dean replied, dreamily.
“Awww… want to go to Paris?”
“Perhaps Rome?”
She touched his forehead and the journey began.
I mentioned before I like to use quotes as inspiration. I did it again today, this time around courtesy of British entrepreneur, scientist, and author Astro Teller, featured in the image above. The quote I chose has been integrated into the flow of the short story and it’s quite easy to identify. I also like this one a lot: Use creativity and storytelling as your main muscle instead of smartness. This is me exercising said muscle once more.
