The latest expansion for Jacob’s favorite RPG was… weird.
“Become a mindless slave to the Wraith Queen? Who asked for this?” he muttered.
“The developer’s wife,” Roxanne said. “Are you going to play or not?”
“I guess.”
A spiraling vortex flashed on the screen, and…
“Let’s have fun!” she giggled, staring into his blank eyes.
How this story came to be
I’m currently working on new chapters of the latest Black Queen story. If you know my work, then you’re aware those tales revolve around a hypnotic videogame. It’s therefore no surprise that the concept has been on my mind for a while now, but I didn’t want to write a shortie set on that universe, so I created something similar, instead. Don’t you love it when a game goes hypnotic.
