“Honey?” Mara said.
“What?” Paul asked.
“There’s a new trend on TikTok…”
“Which is…?”
“Hypnotize a loved one on camera and make them forget the last five minutes.”
“Sounds dumb.”
“Then you won’t mind looking at this pocket watch, right?”
Five minutes later…
“Honey?” Mara said.
“What?” Paul asked.
“There’s a new trend on TikTok…”
How this story came to be
I don’t do TikTok. It’s simply not for me. However, since I spend a lot of time online, it’s almost impossible not to be bombarded with viral videos and whatnot. This got me thinking: what if there was a hypnotic trend going on around? What would it be like? I played with a few ideas in my head and this was the one I liked the most. Too bad you won’t remember it in five minutes.
