Always So Kind

Nigel sat on the sofa, thoughts curled up like a ball. He was shaking.
“You’re doing it again…” Priscilla said, somberly
Yes, he was. Trapped in a loop of misguided commands placed by another.
“Fight it, sweetie. You’ll be deprogrammed soon enough.”
He looked at her and smiled. Mistress was always so kind to him.

Thoughts are infinite. We have a never-ending capacity to think new things, create new things out of those thoughts. Curiously enough, it’s quite easy for many of us to fixate on just a few. It’s also quite easy to let them dictate pretty much the entirety of our behavior, for the good and for the bad.

Today’s piece concerns a loop of thoughts. Just like yesterday’s foray, interpretation is the key. There are at least two sides to it. One is about hope in overcoming an abusive relationship where brainwashing techniques were involved. The other makes you wonder if the brainwashing isn’t still there, although in an entirely different way. In order to overcome an unwanted mental programming, a new programming must take place. Is Nigel on his way to freedom? Perhaps so. Or, perhaps, enslavement is his destiny after all.

Read the tale in any way you like. The positive spin is correct. The kinky, more cynical one, is correct as well. It’s in the myriad of possibilities that lies the beauty of writing in the end.

A Ghost Story

Claudia’s ghost hung over Aaron, whispering…
“Not long now.”
He heard her whilst dreaming, he heard her wide awake and, sometimes, he saw a glimpse of her on the bathroom mirror, grinning.
He shattered it into a million pieces and the shards cried out.
“Not long now… Come serve.”
His body was found on Halloween.

I had a lot of crazy dreams last night. I don’t remember them in full detail but they were vivid, dark fantasies for the most part. At some point, ghosts must have been involved because the word crept up to my lips the moment I woke up.

I’m not afraid of ghosts. I probably would be if I saw one for real but, as it stands, I don’t fear such incorporeal entities. I find them fascinating, truth be told. The unnerving factor typically associated with them is something I enjoy on a deep, primeval level. I love ghost stories for a reason. Perhaps that’s why.

Halloween is almost upon us and I wanted to play with the fact once more. Earlier this month, there was a humorous piece featuring Alexandra Ryder that brushed upon the subject. This time around, it’s horror through and through. The fetish connections are most certainly there though.

Just Heard…

“I need to tell you something, Jack. Follow me.”
“What’s up, John?”
“Jill’s a hypnotist. Just heard she confused a guy and made him lick her shoes.”
“No way!”
“It’s true, but don’t tell anyone.”
“Sure.”

A few minutes later…

“Jack, why did you follow Jill to the bathroom just now?” Jim asked.
Jack blushed.

I’m going to flat out admit something I don’t do very often. I think I’m funny. I also think my sense of humor is weird, but I’ve already said so in the past. There’s nothing wrong with that fact though. I fully embrace my weirdness, especially in the things I write.

Seeing horror was the name of the game yesterday, today humor strikes back. With a little bit of confusion and a dash of tomfoolery, you have a recipe for just that. Don’t believe everything you hear or, if you do, make sure you have some fun in the process.

Session Adjourned

Eager Justice

“The video is conclusive. Miss Wick used intense brainwashing to turn patients into drooling man-servants and therefore should be punished.”
“I think more evidence is required, Counselor.”
“Your Honor?”
“Miss Wick, a private demonstration in my quarters?” The judge asked.
“Certainly, Your Honor,” She smirked.
“Session adjourned!”
Justice isn’t blind. Just eager to be mindfucked.

Justice is a serious business. So is writing, even if on a whole different level. Still, being serious all the time is simply – and pardon the language – boring as fuck! Being often guilty of that myself, I choose to once again be silly today. The session is in order (though not for long).
