Overrated

Upon hearing news of the intrusion, the Abbot was mortified to discover a group of nuns playing mind-control games with the novices. Seeing so many exposed cocks and pussies made him sick.
“Oh, My God!” He blasphemed. “Is there nothing sacred anymore?”
“Only you but not for long…” Sister Agnes whispered.
Purity is overrated. Amen.

Just a bit of fun. If you are a religious person and got offended with, my apologies. That was certainly not the intent.

Call of Obedience

“What’s wrong, Luke?” Devon asked, smartphone in hand, headphones on ears.
“Marcia got inside my head again.”
“What does she want you to do now?”
“Not sure.”
“An extra incentive is in order then…”
“She’s on the phone right now, isn’t she?”
“Yep.”
He put her on speaker and both answered the call of obedience.

Confusion is… confusing. It can be internally induced or externally, through a conversation, a note, or by answering a call on your smartphone and suddenly realizing your thoughts aren’t the same as before. Confused? I wouldn’t blame you if you were. At what point do our ideas cease to be ours? Or rather, were they ever ours to begin with? That’s confusion in a nutshell and, although I’ve written many pieces about it in the past, I’m adding one more to the count because today has been rather confusing so far.

300? (Not Quite)

The story of the Battle of Thermopylae has been told countless times. Modern fiction loves evoking the brave 300 Spartans that stood against the Persian Empire of Xerxes I, but the reality was way different.
There were no 300 soldiers, only one woman.
As she watched the invaders kneel before her, the time-traveling hypnotist laughed.

Three hundred pieces of micro-fiction in three hundred days of the year. That’s right, I’m on the verge of once more completing this challenge. Only 65 more days to go and rest assured I’ll be here every single one of them so come along and let’s enjoy the ride together.

Recently, a friend of mine told me I have a lot of stamina in being able to pull this off. I guess that’s true. It’s also true that I can be a stubborn bastard when the motivation is there and well… this is one of those occasions where I don’t mind the persistence.

Today, I wanted to bring attention to yet another milestone when it comes to these. This is History in the making when it comes to my creativity, so a historical piece seemed in order. I also wanted it to be somewhat funny and combining both isn’t always easy. However, I do have a recurring character that simply has too much fun messing with History so…

A famous battle was brought to life in today’s piece. Popular culture was also duly highlighted given said battle has been the subject of a famous comic series by Frank Miller and Lynn Varley as well as a movie directed by Zack Snyder. There’s also a sequel to the latter, but I’ve yet to see it so I’m focusing on the “original”. This is me being slightly bonkers once again and that’s really the way I like it.

Work (of Art) in Progress

“Is that a hand or a foot?” Oscar queried.
“Dunno, but I’m seeing an elbow there,” Timothy nodded.
“What’s the name of the piece again?”
“Three Dozens of Mind-Controlled Servants Stacked On Each Other,” Amanda replied. “It’s a work in progress though.”
“How come?” Timothy asked.
“Missing two subjects. Glad you’re volunteering.”
So were they.

Time to talk about art again or at least write something involving a work of art. Please don’t ask me where it’s being displayed because I don’t know. Feel free to volunteer to be a part of it though… assuming you have a choice in the matter, that is.
