Blank Space

“… and this is us by the Niagara Falls,” Judy said.
“During our honeymoon?” Patrick mumbled.
“Yes. So glad you’re starting to remember our life together.”
“Not sure how I ever forgot…”
“That’s okay, you’re forgiven…” She touched his forehead. “Deeper now.”
“Yes, Judy.”
She grabbed another piece of paper and continued filling in the blanks.

Another impromptu. I’ve lost count as to how many I’ve come up with because they just keep coming, words pouring from everywhere, jumbled ideas coming together. Perhaps, it’s inspiration. Perhaps, it’s trance. Perhaps, it’s a bit of both or nothing at all. Who knows?

I do know I’ve never been to the Niagara Falls but I wouldn’t mind doing so. Perhaps one day I’ll get that chance. Until then, I’ll keep on writing what comes to mind and the mind will keep on coming back for more.

The Heart Knows

Compelled beyond reason, Trevor knocked on Greta’s door. When she opened it, he knelt silently.
Looking down, she saw the scar on his chest and asked:
“You’re the one that received Jonathan’s heart, aren’t you?”
“Yes,” he mumbled.
“He was my slave, and now so are you. Come.”
He crawled behind her, mind in chains.

I’ve said a few times already that I consider love to be the greatest mind-control weapon of all and, sometimes, I like to write things that reflect just that.

This piece was inspired by a documentary I recently watched about heart transplants. I’m sure you’ve all heard the stories (myths?) that people who are subject to those kind of procedures sometimes end up feeling alien things afterward, almost as if the person who died so they could live left something of her within the beating heart. It’s certainly an interesting thing, one that could almost be a form of body control.

I applied the idea to a loving Mistress/slave relationship. He loved her so much that even dead he finds a way to get back to her by turning his new “vessel” into a slave, too. If you think about it, it’s kind of creepy as well but I prefer to focus on the romantic angle and be done with it. I hope you liked my crazy idea nonetheless.

Keep Dreaming

“Anna?”
“Yes, Joe?”
“Would you be mad if I told you I’ve been having dreams about being your mindless hypnoslave?”
“Why would I be? I think those dreams are simply wonderful. You should have them all the time, but most especially now.”
“Anna?”
“Yes, Joe?”
“You planted them there, didn’t you?”
“Keep dreaming, my dear.”

The expression “keep dreaming” is often used in a dismissive way so I decided to do the opposite and instead turn it into a sort of trigger. As you know, I often have vivid dreams and I do consider the idea of controlling someone using dreams very hot indeed so when you put two and two together, the answer is…

Spoilers

“Reading my book?” Cliff asked.
“Skimming. I know how it ends,” Martha replied.
” Really? Do tell.”
“She’s going to hypnotize him in the last page and turn him into her slave, duh!”
“Not true, sorry.”
“Sooner then?”
“Page 293,” he blushed.
“Ah, this one…”
She laid down the book as he fell to his knees.

It’s day 293 of Year 4 of this writing challenge and one of the things I’ve been doing today is prep work for a new e-book. As you know by now, in my books, women make the rules and men follow them whether they like it or not because that’s how things are meant to be so what better way to remind you all of that than with a little bit of humor?

I hope you had fun because I know I did. If you want more, come back tomorrow.
