Hot Zone
The bald naked woman lay in a corner, black eyes facing the ceiling.
“Is she dead?” Trevor asked.
“Worse. Infected. Not really alive but not dead, either.” Dr. Merriweather responded.
“Like a zombie?”
“Zombies don’t exist, only Her flesh puppets. Let’s go!”
The group continued negotiating the derelict buildings, hoping to escape the hot zone.
The pandemic is raging on around here. Our cases have doubled since the first wave and we’ve had the highest number of casualties today as well. My work colleagues and I have also learned that the boss tested positive. His symptoms are light at the moment but we don’t know how long he has had it. We’re all getting tested tomorrow. Not looking forward to it.
I’m trying not to think about it but the truth is I just wrote a story dealing with an infection so… At least, this one is fiction and being a zombie slave in a piece of micro-fiction is far more appealing than dealing with this kind of shit in the real world. We’ll see what tomorrow brings.
Changing His Mind
Alex looked at his girlfriend’s slutty clothes.
“That’s your costume?”
“No. It’s yours. Just try it for fun.”
“No way, Deborah!”
“You keep saying that and then do what I tell you, so why bother?”
“I’m hoping to change your mind.”
“That’s my job.” She snapped her fingers.
He was the hottest schoolgirl in town.
Seeing as Halloween is around the corner, I decided to write something more about it and this was the first thing that came to mind. I actually never wore a Halloween costume of any kind as it’s not really my thing. I wouldn’t want to wear this one either but if that’s your thing, more power to you. I hope you get to have as much fun as possible considering the circumstances we’re living in.
In other news, I got tested for SARS-CoV-2 today, alongside all my co-workers. Results should be available early next week, probably Monday. Since I don’t know if I have it or not, I’m not working tomorrow. Spending the next three days locked at home. Wish me luck
Halloween Party
“Alexandra?”
“Yes, General?”
“It’s Halloween. Why are you still at the base?”
“I decided to have my party here. Too bad you’re still sick.”
“Party?” He gulped. “Should I be worried?”
“Decide for yourself.” She rotated the web camera on the desk.
The General saw the hypnotic bacchanal taking place in his office and fainted.
It’s Halloween today and even though I celebrated it all month with Tricks & Treats, I wanted to write one more and Alexandra “insisted” she had to be in it so… Happy Halloween, everyone!
