Staring helplessly into her hypnotic green eyes, he asked,
“What day is it?”
“April Fools but it’s also my birthday. Where’s my present?” she smirked.
“Coming right up.”
He started stripping. Free will could wait another day.
How this story came to be
I like writing pieces about resistance, especially when it goes wrong. The first entry of April was inspired by April Fools (obviously!), the fact that it’s my mother’s birthday, and my desire to go for something light. All things combined and this piece was born.
