Pulling the Plug
The transfer was complete. Rick’s hopes, dreams, and memories were inside the machine now. If he pulled the plug, his individuality would be gone forever.
“Are you sure you want to do this?” Paula asked.
“Yes, Mistress,” he replied. “I want this.”
“You are a good slave. Thank you.”
“My pleasure” He kissed her boots.
How this story came to be
I had a bit of a computer snag a few hours ago. It froze and wouldn’t shut down. I had no choice but to pull the plug. Thankfully, no harm was done but it got me thinking about the “pulling the plug” expression and how I could use it to write today’s entry. I chose to go with a total enslavement scenario because it’s hot, even if I don’t like the idea of losing my memories for real. How about you?
