Remember Who You Are
The succubi circled Angela who was trying to fend them off with the relic hanging from her necklace.
“Begone, abomination! Go back to Hell!”
“Only when you join us, sister,” one of them hissed. “Remember who you are.”
Angela screamed as memories of her underworld existence shattered her brain. Leathery wings sprouted from her back.
How this story came to be
One of my story concepts in my little black book revolves around a woman who comes to terms with the fact she’s always been a demon trapped in a human body. I envision it as a psychological supernatural horror kind of thing, but I haven’t done anything with it yet, and I’m not sure when I’ll get around to it.
Anyway, this piece was inspired by that idea. We’ll see if anything else happens in that regard or not. Wish me luck.
