Oliver spent the next day still in a state of ecstatic anticipation wondering how his conversation with Helena would go. He had a lot of ideas in his mind – and a lot of questions, too! – so if she could shed some light on at least some of them, that would be great lest he felt the sudden need to chicken out at the very last second like he often did.
The work day went fast and without any major hassles and when he finally arrived home, he was ready for whatever the night would bring. He microwaved a lasagna, filled his stomach with it and a glass of red wine for a boost of Dutch courage and waited for Helena to come online.
She was right on time, her face appearing on the computer screen with crystal clarity. Her look was classy and elegant, her skin glowing with a warm hue that made it look like she had just come out of a spa, or a magical fairy tale. She wore a white blouse open to reveal some of her cleavage, paired with a dark red skirt that showed off her shapely curves while still leaving enough to the imagination. A pair of hoop earrings glittered in the light of his laptop’s camera and Helena’s long hair was tied up in an immaculate bun that framed her delicate facial features perfectly. Oliver felt mesmerized by her presence, as if he had been transported inside some kind of dream world. He found himself speechless for a few seconds before finally finding his voice again and introducing himself formally to her.
