Brianna Dawson, known as Brianna the Bitch in certain underground circles, was not a woman to be trifled with. Beneath the sharp glint in her emerald eyes raged a fire that could melt steel or anyone who dared to get too close. Her deep crimson lips were a paradox, soft and inviting one moment, then curled into a snarl the next. One never knew which side of her they would meet.
She sat at the sleek black marble bar, sipping her dirty martini and watching. Her unrelenting gaze scanned the Thursday night crowd with predatory precision, waiting for her prey. This time around, her mark was David Lennox, the golden boy CEO with a tech empire and too much money to notice when some went missing.
She had spotted him when he entered the club, his handsome face immediately surrounded by several admiring faces. Brianna studied his moves as he smiled at a blonde who thought she might be this evening’s conquest, only to turn away mid-sentence and move on to more promising prospects when someone else caught his eye.
Perfect.
Men like Lennox always overestimated their own importance, and they never saw her coming until it was too late.
With casual grace, Brianna slipped from the barstool and weaved through the crowd, always keeping him in sight but remaining just out of view. The long red silk dress clung to her as if it were a second skin, hugging the curves of her hips and the full swell of her breasts, the neckline plunging just enough to tease without revealing all her secrets.
When he settled into a secluded booth with a brunette whispering in his ear, she made her move. She waited just for the right moment – when his attention seemed focused in charming yet another unfortunate nobody – before sauntering over and bumping into him.
“Oh my gosh! I’m so sorry,” she gasped, flashing an apologetic smile that made even the uninterested stop and stare.
Lennox glanced up, a flicker of annoyance on his face that quickly gave way to curiosity. “No problem,” he said, already brushing off the brunette next to him with a kind of effortless charm that Brianna couldn’t help but find somewhat impressive.(…)
