Shattered Forever

Maria stared into Angelo’s drooping eyes,
“Look at your reflection. I’ve trapped your thoughts inside the mirror,” she said. “Should it break, your individuality will be shattered forever.”
Maria touched the back of his head to deepen the trance and then smashed his soul.
Sometimes, breaking a slave was as easy as breaking a mirror.

How this story came to be

I had a dream last night that involved a magic mirror. It could capture objects, people, and even thoughts and emotions in its reflection. This mirror was always being broken, but it could also rebuild itself. When it was shattered, whatever it had trapped, would disappear forever. It was a strange dream.

This piece was partially inspired by it but the only magic here lies in Maria’s hypnotic skills. Please enjoy.
