Spell… H-A-L-L-O-W-E-E-N 2022 – Day 23
Today, we have a piece of micro-fiction involving a special family dinner. Have fun.
Halloween Dinner
Aunt Meg was the first to arrive, followed by uncle Bob and Grandpa Joe. Grandma Esther came shortly after, accompanied by her sister Prudence and her mother Jacqueline. Then it was the triplets’ turn. No one ever remembered their names but they didn’t care. Right behind them came their mother, father, and older brother.
“Do you really have to invite every single member of your family?” Luke asked.
“Better that than to have them haunt us all year out of spite, don’t you think?” Mary retorted.
She was right. One by one, the ghosts of the past continued to materialize at their doorstep. Halloween dinners at the Hendersons were always to die for.
