Status Update
Peter logged in to his favorite social network and updated his profile., It now read:
“Under Mistress Emily’s hypnotic spell. I’ll be her obedient drone for the rest of my life.”
Mistress Emily checked his account and smiled, thinking,
“Another hypnoslave in the bag and it’s only 9am. It’s going to be a wonderful day.”
How this story came to be
I don’t do a lot of social media. I should do more but I find them all to be anything but entertaining. Some people live their whole lives online and are constantly updating their status and sharing details of their life. I also find that a bit disconcerting because I share my privacy above all things. Even when something big happens, I usually keep it to myself and close friends. The world doesn’t need to know everything just like I don’t need to know everything about the world.
This piece was inspired by social networks and those types of updates with a hypnotic flavor attached to it. Hypnotically enslaved is a status too, right?
