Staying the Night
It just wouldn’t stop raining, and the streets were already flooded. There was no way Janice was getting behind the wheel again.
“Do you mind if I stay the night?” she asked.
“Not at all, but you won’t be sleeping,” Maxine replied, glancing at her collection of hypnotic tools.
Janice smiled and reached for one.
How this story came to be
Another day of intense rain and wind. I saw windows broken and even tree branches snapping. It was a good day to stay indoors but I couldn’t afford the luxury of doing that. However, if that were the case, this would be a good way to spend the night. I hope you agree.
