The Last One
Greg’s jaw dropped when he entered his apartment and saw what lay at Emily’s feet.
“Another one? Honey, not again!” he exclaimed.
“I’m sorry, but I couldn’t resist. She’s so cute.”
“I know she is, but…”
“Last one, I promise.”
Greg sighed. The last one until the next time. Twenty-four hypnotized cat girls and counting.
How this story came to be
So… I have good news. Do you remember me talking about a stray orange cat in my neighborhood, one I was trying to catch to take to the vet? After feeding him for a while, today he trusted me enough to let me put him in a carrier and off we went. Guess what? He had a chip and we contacted the owner who came to pick him up after the while. That’s the fourth successful cat rescue in a little over two years, and that’s including my own. The world can be quite the shitty place but things like this make me happy.
