The Weather Outside
“Fuck!” Caroline exclaimed.
“What’s wrong?” Bill asked.
“It’s raining cats and dogs. I’m now going out like this so we have to stay home.”
“Isn’t that what you wanted anyway?”
“Don’t be ridiculous!” she smirked.
Outside, the sun was shining but his entranced mind could only see the drops of rain reflected in her eyes.
How this story came to be
No walking home for me today because, unlike yesterday, it rained pretty much all day around here and the temperature dropped considerably. According to the forecast, we’ll be having intermittent weather until the end of the month for some reason and I can’t say I’m looking forward to that.
Anyway, with so much water hitting my window right now, a piece about rain, even if it’s just a hypnotic illusion) felt appropriate, so I wrote it.
