Too Expensive
“Fuck, that’s expensive!” Brandon exclaimed, looking at the laptop screen. He crossed his arms and sighed.
“Does that mean you’re not buying it?” Paul asked, tapping his shoulder.
“I’d love to, but between buying something for me and gifting my hypnodomme…”
“Yes?”
“I’ll choose her every time.”
“Good boy,” her voice echoed in his mind.
How this story came to be
I’ve just finished watching the news pertaining the Nintendo Switch 2’s release date, including some of the Nintendo Treehouse coverage of the day. I must say I was impressed, and if you’re wondering if I want one, the answer is yes, I do.
Nintendo’s consoles have always been my favorite, and The Legend of Zelda series has a special place in my heart as most of you know by now. I’ve bought the company’s last three consoles – Wii, WiiU, and the Switch on Day One. I won’t be doing that this year with the new system.
Why? Because, frankly, the price tag is a bit too steep for me. Mario Kart isn’t really my thing, so even if I got the bundle, I would still have to buy a game to go with it. Donkey Kong Bananza is looking really good, and down the road, there’s Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment, and Metroid Prime 4: Beyond to look forward to. The problem is, that’s equivalent to almost two and a half months of food for me and my pets, and I can’t exactly lick cartridges to stay healthy, can I? There’s simply no way to rationalize such an expense right now which saddens me a bit,. The console is out June 5 and my birthday is on the 18th of the same month. It would be quite the birthday present. The last console I bought was the original Switch in 2017 and the last game purchase happened more than a year ago. I’d love to change that, but I don’t see a way to do it at the moment, unless I sell way more stuff or people commission new stories until then. I don’t see that happening either, so it’s best not to think about it.
Anyway, that was the backdrop for this one, and I agree with Brandon. You need to have priorities. First, you take care of yourself. If you happen to have a Domme in your life, then you should definitely give her something when you have the chance. Only after that, comes everything else. Be smart and have fun.
