Tricks & Treats – Day 2
For the second day of this year’s Halloween event, we have a spooky tale about a mysterious recording. This is a classic horror piece. Please enjoy.
Just a Recording
It’s just a recording, and it’s fake.
Everything on the tape has been heavily processed, dozens of filters layered upon each other to create the chilling illusion of something supernatural going on.
You don’t believe in ghosts.
You don’t believe in hauntings.
You don’t believe in any of that shit.
You do believe in your stupid brothers though, and in the lengths they go to to prank you. This is their greatest accomplishment yet and, honestly, you should be laughing.
But you aren’t.
It’s just a recording, and it’s fake, yet it impresses you.
Cold shivers run down on your spine every time you hear what appears to be the whooshing sound of an invisible knife cutting the air before it rips open your jugular.
You hear yourself gurgling, as you choke in crimson, always waiting for that moment when they break down in laughter and wish you a Happy Halloween.
You know that moment will never come.
It’s just a recording, and it’s fake, but you keep playing it.
By now, you already know every little detail of it by heart.
You can replicate all five minutes and fifty-two seconds of agony without breaking a sweat.
You know your photographic memory is one in a million and that people would kill for a chance to have it.
The only thing you don’t understand is why there is so much blood on the carpet.
I hope you liked this piece. You too can be a part of the creative process by sharing your ideas and suggestions with me as I go on. If I like the way you think and I’m able to come up with something based on it, you’ll be given full credit for the inspiration whilst making sure the blood keeps on flowing (unless a sexy vampire drains it fully, that is.)
Use the form below to join this supernatural, kinky endeavor. Tricks & Treats will return tomorrow. Let’s all have fun while it lasts. Thanks.
