The day they arrived, David was terrified. He sensed danger in the air, and saw a future of death and destruction playing in his mind.
He was wrong. The visitors brought world peace. There were spirals in the air and golden parasites latching on to people’s necks. Blank-eyed, he smiled.
Long live our alien Overladies!
How this story came to be
I had a crazy dream last night that involved an alien invasion. All the aliens were females, and they used a combination of hallucinogens and parasites to subdue humans and turn them into their slaves. I remember I was on the run from them alongside a group of people I didn’t know. They were captured one by one until I was the only one left and then I woke up. I was still myself when I did so, but I probably would have become their pet if the dream had continued.
This piece was clearly inspired by that. Would you welcome them?
